Professor John George
Blackbelt | 3rd Degree
Having trained all over the United States and abroad, Professor John actively competes in BJJ and MMA and is passionate about training the next generation of talent. He is very proud to have represented Wanderlei Silva’s Wand Fight team in Las Vegas and to be a black belt under Professor Miriam Cardoso, five-time world champion and one of the most accomplished female grapplers in the world. In addition to jiu jitsu, he holds blackbelts in Muay Thai, American Self Defense System, and Tang Soo Do.
Professor John hold numerous titles, including Pilot Mountain Sport Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Grand Champion, IBJJF Chicago Open Gi Black Belt Silver Medalist, IBJJF Atlanta Open Gi Black Belt Bronze Medalist, Pro-Jitsu 1 Black Belt Super Fight Champion, XFC Unified Mixed Martial Arts Lightweight Champion, and an MT Championship Regional Muay Thai Middleweight Champion.

Professor Andrew Schaeffer
Blackbelt | 2nd Degree
Professor Andrew began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the Yamasaki Academy in 2005. A lifelong fan of martial arts, he tried several styles before fulfilling his passion in BJJ. Professor Andrew received his Black Belt from Master Fernando Yamasaki in 2015 and has also studied Catch as Catch Can, as well as Hook Style wrestling, with the philosophy of “if it works, use it.” He also influenced the development of BJJ in Ukraine, Belarus, and Poland by establishing and coaching affiliates gyms there.
Professor Andrew is an IBJJF Pan No-Gi brown belt silver medalist, IBJJF Munich Gi and no-gi brown belt silver medalist, 4x NAGA expert champion, and has competed and placed in numerous other tournaments.

Coach Terah Heiber
Youth Coach | Purple Belt
Terah is an avid Jiu-Jitsu fanatic, and has traveled for seminars and competitions all over the United States since the age of six. A proud purple belt, Terah is a force to be reckoned with in competition. But, step into her kids' class and her patience and kindness fosters a fun and engaging environment through which young students can develop their skills with confidence.
Terah is a 2x 2023 Tap-Out Trafficking 2020 Champion, a Sirius Grappling Gold Medalist, a Next Level Fight Club Champion, a Toro Cup 11 Gold Medalist, and an 2017 Atlanta Kids International Open IBJJF GI Champion.

Coach Patrick D'Auria
Youth Coach | Blue Belt
Patrick's Jiu Jitsu journey started alongside his son, looking for a fun and challenging activity to do together. What began as a bonding experience quickly turned into a full-fledged passion for Patrick. He dove headfirst into training, soaking up knowledge and honing his skills. Patrick's background in coaching youth sports proved invaluable as he became a co-owner of Ravensguard. With a focus on building a strong youth program, Patrick's classes emphasize core BJJ techniques while fostering resilience and confidence in his students.
